Tselani Professional Business Consulting Service LLC’s (TPBCS) mission is to assist Native American entrepreneurs, tribal entities, nonprofits and organizations develop the strategy, knowledge, motivation and accountability required to succeed in their business and economic endeavors.
Summary
Dr. Lorenzo J. Begay, PhD (Navajo) is the sole proprietor of TPBCS, a professional business management and technical assistance consulting firm that is located on the Navajo Nation. We provide electronic and one-to-one business development and technical assistance services to the Navajo Nation and Native Americans interested in entering, expanding or improving their business efforts on or off American Indian reservations. TPBCS is certified as Priority #1, for it is a wholly 100% Navajo owned and operated that conducts a substantial portion of its business within the jurisdiction of the Navajo Nation. The sole owner, Dr. Begay is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation of Arizona, a federally recognized tribe and is the primary owner of Tselani Professional Business Consulting Services LLC with over 25 years of business management and consulting experiences in Native American, rural and tribal communities. TPBCS was established to assist in the development, expansion and to collaborate with Native American entities, programs, and organizations; tribal enterprises & businesses; entrepreneurs; community development & nonprofit organizations; grant schools; and tribal colleges and institutions that requires professional business and management technical assistance in small business, industrial and economic development, and community development initiatives.
In addition, TPBCS is a professional business that provides strategic planning, comprehensive grant writing, affordable grant prospect research, grant proposal writing and evaluation services to non-profit agencies, LGA chapters, tribal entities, and various programs. TPBCS provides regular correspondence with key funders to strategically produce formative funding solutions. Dr. Begay and his Native American Business Management Consultants will continue to provide comprehensive, top-quality professional development and coaching services. As the principal owner of TPBCS, Dr. Begay believes that most small businesses and entrepreneurs suffer two major problems which are the lack of training or development resources and secondly, the depth of knowledge required to focus on their businesses from a true "ownership" perspective. Both lead to lowered expectations, lack of business and personal growth and frequent owner burnout.
The company will provide its professional development services in the most effective manner and with an ongoing comprehensive quality-control program to provide 100% client satisfaction.

Dr. LORENZO J. BEGAY, PhD (Navajo)
Dr. Begay is a member of the Navajo Nation and has worked in the areas of small business development, workforce, business, economic and community development with various tribes and non-profit entities. Dr. Begay’s previous employment experience includes being involved with minority, non-profit and Native American owned businesses and economic development efforts. Dr. Begay was the former CEO of the Navajo Nation Shopping Centers, Inc.; CEO of ATLATL, Inc; former Dean of the Navajo Nation’s Diné College and conducted consulting work with the City of Chicago’s Community & Economic Development programs, tribal and community colleges, the Native American Business Development Center, Tribal Business Information centers, Hispanic & American Indian Chamber of Commerce and worked with various other tribes to develop and provide economic development initiatives.Mr. Begay has his Doctorate in Business Administration from the Phoenix Argosy University. He obtained his Masters in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix and holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the Northern Arizona University. In addition, Dr. Begay is in the process of obtaining his business planning and economic development certification from the Economic Development Institution.
LaVERNE BEGAY-TODACHINE, MAOM (Navajo)
Ms. Begay-Todachine has worked for various tribal and Native American programs by providing management, human resource and business technical assistance. She has an extensive background in working with tribal, community and grant schools by assisting with human resource, business and administrative duties. Ms. Begay-Todachine has conducted and facilitated workshops on Community Development Corporations, Nonprofit Board of Director, Strategic Planning, Motivation, Accountability, Organizational Assessments, Grant Writing, Small Business Workshop topics and Effective Management. Ms. Begay-Todachine holds a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and she has a Bachelors of General Studies from Northern Arizona University. She is an instructor for the NxLevel Entrepreneur and Indianpreneurial business courses and provides curriculum development services. Ms. Begay-Todachine is a certified adjudicator and provides federal and tribal background checks for employees and tribal programs.
